Heal Together: Group Therapy in Recovery
Recovery is not a solo journey. Group therapy builds the community, accountability, and shared wisdom that are essential to lasting sobriety — and many clients say it's the most powerful part of their treatment.
Call 1-800-923-7021What Is Group Therapy?
Group therapy involves facilitated sessions with a small group of peers in recovery, led by a licensed counselor or therapist. Groups provide a safe space to share experiences, learn from others, practice new skills, and build the peer connections that support long-term recovery. At Brighter Day Detox, group therapy is a core component of our daily residential programming.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to share in group?
Participation is encouraged but never forced. Many clients find that sharing becomes easier and more rewarding over time as trust builds within the group.
How many people are in a group?
Our groups are kept small — typically 6–12 clients — to ensure a safe, intimate environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate.
Is what I share in group confidential?
Group members are asked to maintain confidentiality about what is shared in group. While we cannot guarantee confidentiality from other group members, our counselors model and reinforce this expectation.
